It was a delight to collaborate with @mikelesirge and @mjcole who provided me with such a stunning piano and vocal recording to arrange to (featuring an outstanding vocal performance by Becky 👑+ epic BV arrangement by @ryanashleymusic). We had a beautiful day of tracking at @livingston_studios with the incredible @isabelgracefield behind the desk, assisted by @lukefarnell. As always, I’m completely indebted to the amazing musicians bringing these dots to life. Happy Release Day to the mighty @ezracollective fo Happy Release Day to the mighty @ezracollective for their latest LP ‘Dance, No One’s Watching’. I was touched to be invited by my old friends @femiondrums and @ife_ogunjobi to write 4 short string interludes, linking various musical themes from the record. We managed to get my favourite quartet in the business: @amikaquartet feat. @simviolin, @laura_bikesnmusic, #LucyNolan and @peggynolan. We had a beautiful day of recording, followed by the customary post-sesh-sesh 🍷. Huge congrats to everyone that was involved… My hero @riccardodamian 👑 with his elite team: @freddielight, @louisbes_, @nia.sounds @ishaan.nimkar and @al_russsell. Mixed by @davidwrenchmusic. What a weekend visiting the @thedanishradiobigband What a weekend visiting the @thedanishradiobigband in Copenhagen and witnessing my dear friend @reubenfowler89 direct a concert of his Steely Dan arrangements. Reuben is a true artist - every one of his arrangements is unique, packed full of detail, ingenuity, whilst also retaining the essential elements of the source material - a huge inspiration of mine ❤️. It was my privilege to contribute an arrangement of ‘Do It Again’, as did @tommy_walshy who also led the trumpet section and reminded us why we all believe him to be the greatest lead trumpeter on the planet.
